A huge shout out and thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Peake for our AWESOME sensory hall! Our sensory hall can be found between our 3rd grade and our 1st/kindergarten classrooms. The sensory hall is a fun way for students to get their wiggles out, refocus during a transition or self-soothe after facing a difficult challenge.
Our sensory hall is very interactive! I love how the students can jump on the leaves, balance on the log, jump over (or into!) the mud puddle, follow the twisting path, jump on the lily pads, and finish off by jumping on the panther paws! On the walls, they can trace the path of the ants, jump up to hit the clouds, trace one of 6 hummingbird wings, trace the path the hummingbird is flying, or use the panther paws to push and try to move that wall! The infinity symbol, seen on our wall in the shape of the hummingbird wings, is calming when traced and crossed over the center.
